Recap of 03-30-09

Last night was an awesome evening at CR. Deborah B. delivered lesson 7 titled Moral. She did an excellent job.
We recently had a new men’s 12 step group that started and we have a new woman’s 12 step group starting in a few weeks. These groups are the heartbeat of CR and we’re very excited about what God will do in these groups. These will be our second round of 12 step groups with both the men and the women. They stay open for new people to join through the first 3 steps and then close at step 4. These groups bring forth tremendous healing through working Biblical principles and working on deepening relationships with Jesus. They also are where we recruit new leaders from. The more people that successfully work through these steps, the more qualified people we’ll have to lead new groups and step up in other leadership roles. Hopefully we will soon be to the point that when a group closes we will be able to open a new one around the same time.
We had 59 people last night including 4 children. The children and a few adults only joined us for our meal and praise songs but we were glad to have them for the time that we did!
We have a group going to Greenville, SC for a One Day Training Seminar by the team from Saddleback Church on May 2nd. The tickets will be ordered tomorrow around noon. If anybody reading this wants to go and hasn’t already told John you must contact him before noon tomorrow to make arrangements. If you are interested you can make contact with him by emailing him through our email address listed here on the blog. This will be an awesome trip and a great learning experience. We will also be serving and worshiping Jesus the entire time, we are very excited about it!
