Recap of 02-09-09

Greetings Friends,

We sure could feel the presence of God last night at Barefoot Church Celebrate Recovery. There were 81 people at CR last night and at least 2 people accepted Jesus as their Savior! We had 2 visiting pastors with us that are planning to start Celebrate Recovery at their churches. We had our first wave of people who took and completed the Six Week Challenge and several of them gave a few words about that experience. Every one of them agreed to let us put that video footage on our blog; it should be up by this evening or tomorrow morning at the latest.
We also had our childcare program last night for the first time. We had 4 wonderful children that all really enjoyed the experience. Just a side note on this though to all of us, especially to our leaders and our parents, we must end our small groups on time and you have to get your children picked up immediately after. Because we meet on Monday nights and all of these children have to be in school Tuesday morning this is very, very important. Also remember that our wonderful leaders and volunteers that have and will step up to take care of our beautiful children also have children of their own and we must respect their time. Last night was our first time so we have to give a little grace for not doing so good at getting this last part done in a timely fashion but we will from now on, we have to. Thanks in advance to everybody for being mindful of this and for doing your part.

God Bless,
